Great unit
I think Wahoo have brought their focus on design and usability to the cycling computer without the detraction of legacy models. It does everything well and simplistically, I love that you only need your phone to manage. One improvement would be status indicators of sensors, gps and phone connected would be great but other than that...awesome!

The amazing Bolt
I returned the Bolt and stuck with Element. While I thought the Bolt to be a great bike computer I liked the bigger size of the Element. I also felt the screen and numbers on the Element to be more crisp than the bolt.

Great concept but not ready for prime time yet
The Bolt was recommended by a coach who I really respect. Pro’s - easy setup. Like the zoom feature, like the simple map feature. Con’s - resolution and backlight not as good as Garmin. Requires two devices to set up and the phone and Bolt don’t always synch easily so sometimes you’re stuck not being able to manage screens and uploads. I sent mine back because it wouldn’t show more than 2 of the screens I set up. Used online help and the helpline and they thought mine might just have been defective. So, my impression is that this is a terrific concept with bugs left to work. Since it was making my rides miserable and stealing time to figure out whatnot as going wrong I went back to Garmin. Best of luck but I can’t sacrifice my time to be your beta tester.

Probably best device on the market
Wahoo generally finds a good balance between cost, quality, and features. That does mean that concessions were made.
The most important parts of the hardware work fine: screen is visible, attaches securely to the mount, buttons are nice and don't feel like they will break soon.
In contrast the USB connector cover is flimsy and is hard to secure properly. The device is obviously not built to be used in wet conditions; water pools in the recessed buttons and in grooves of the mount. Screen becomes unreadable in rain.
Software is hit-and-miss and seems to have suffered from rushed development as most products nowadays do. Everything works, but feels like it might fall apart when you look at it funny. For example: there is considerable lag when flipping pages on the device and there is no obvious feedback whether the device has synced training schedules or uploaded rides.
The iOS app does not feel native and I had a constant feeling of being lost in the user interface.
In general the product has a confusing relationship with the companion app. It's not entirely clear which data is provided by through the phone (I believe map updates go through the phone) and which data goes directly to the internet from the device through its WIFI connection (I believe it uploads the rides itself).
Core features like showing and recording data seems to work without problems.
Even considering the issues described above it's probably still the best bike computer currently available.

Best cycling computer
After 8 months of comparing and researching UTube, bicycle magazine reviews, I purchased my Element Bolt. Only down side was WHY did I wait to after the cycling season. This is everything and more I thought it would be. 3 minute setup, easy app to custom make my screen, accurate, excellent connectivity (sync) to everything, long lasting battery, excellent price point . Compared Garmin options and they don't stand up to Wahoo's Bolt. Plus their overpriced, not reliable and not easy to connect or set up. Oh they have a color screen. Not paying for something I don't need.
Several other Bike Club members bought one this year and others are are talking about purchasing.
Best buy I've made for the bike. And as one said, "It's all About The Bike"
Carpe Diem, get a Wahoo Element Bolt today. Your only regret is why you haven't already.

The next generation of bike computers
I did a lot of due diligence and read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing the Element Bolt. I wasn’t undecided between the Garmin equivalent model because I have always used Garmin. At the end, I am glad I went with the Element Bolt. It’s so easy to set up and pair with devices, it ia all handled from my smart phone, even changes on the fly while in the middle of the ride I wanted to change one of the parameters in the main page, and it was a quick stop to handle it from my phone. I was so used to clicking a dozen times the side buttons of the Garmin, and with the Element Bolt it is so simple. Not to mention that it works amazing with my Wahoo Kickr Trainer.

Crash replacement
Bought my second Bolt after a crash. 4 stars for because the Bolt is not fixable (the old one is working only the screen is cracked, problem in the rain) it would have been easy to just replace the screen (we all cracked iPhone). But the Bolt is built as one piece.
I got the 2nd Bolt at 40% discount. Which is a bit disappointing. I know Garmin charge 100$ (150€) to replace crashed edge 1000 (25%)
Please work on crash policy, otherwise it is perfect for my use.
